Celebrating and Sharing our Canadian Hungarian Culture
The Canadian Hungarian Cultural Society of Edmonton offers residents of the Edmonton area, programs and events with a Hungarian flavour. The Hungarian Hall is site of our Klondike Breakfast, Video Nights, historical commemorations, seasonal Dinner Dances featuring Hungarian cuisine, and theatrical & musical productions that occasionally feature guest performers from Hungary.
The Hungarian Hall is also home to our Csárdás Hungarian Folk Dance ensemble, a performing group that has toured throughout Alberta, Western Canada and Europe. The Csardas Dancers offer instruction for both adults and children.
Our society hosts art exhibits and provides a bi-annual Kodály music scholarship. Join us at our annual Csárdás Ball for an elegant evening of ballroom dancing and classic entertainment. Come watch our Hungaria Soccer teams compete... or tryout for the team. Participate in our Zumba classes. Visit our tent at Heritage Days.
You don't need to be a member to enjoy our programs but we welcome new members who share our goals.
